I am an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Public and Preventive Health at Augusta University with joint appointment at the Department of Health Management, Economics and Policy.

I am an applied microeconomist. My expertise is in applied microeconomics, that broadly covers the areas of global health, health economics, population health, public health, and public finance.

My current research focuses the social determinants of health outcomes and health disparities, and the economics of prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases in developing countries. My works got published in various peer-reviewed journals including: 

Health Economics, SSM: Population Health, Journal of Human Hypertension, International Journal of Equity in Health, Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, BMC Public Health, PLoS ONE, The American Journal of Cardiology,  Journal of the American Heart Association, and Tobacco Control.
